The hotel was more personal, as there are few rooms and less hotel guests. The shared shower and toilets worked out well. They locked and were rarely occupied, as they were only shared by two rooms.
The hotel was kind of hidden. If I had not looked at the street view of the hotel on Google Maps, it is likely that I would have had a very hard time finding the hotel. The hotel was a bit of a trek to the Vatican, and was not at all near any of the other tourist attractions.

The nearness to the Vatican was the main benefit of the hotel.

We liked the helpful staff (Marino) even though he did not speak English very well, common terrace is a nice bonus, common kitchen is well-equipped, our double room ensuite was spacious and tidy, clean shower, air-condition, TV with couple of English channels, functional Wi-Fi, comfy double bed, close location to the Vatican (about 15 minute walk), good take away pizzeria downstairs (Pollie), also an old-fashion but cute local food market nearby, not so touristy but totally safe area, bus stop in front (easy to go to the downtown, but way harder to find back to the B&B). There are couple of small supermarkets nearby (Carrefour Extra and Euro Spin), but you may find a bigger Carrefour behind the S. Pietro train/bus station at the Via delle Fornaci.
We did not liked some common Mediterranian issues such as very weak noise isolation and leaking shower (you get water all over the floor in the bathroom). Also our boiler was leaking and water drop noise was annoying. As the noise isolation is very weak, you will hear very well, if someone speaks on the terrace or even in its own room, especially during the quiet hours. Also there is a shared bathroom and kitchen just in front of the ensuite in the corridor, which gets noisy when people shower or make food at night. Definitely get your earplugs with you, if you are a sustainable sleeper! In the morning (around 8) the breakfast preparations in the kitchen will wake you up for sure. The breakfast is also very poor, just one bread, one croissant, jam, tea, coffee and one yoghurt. Towels will not be changed every day and some strangers may walk through your room for the breakfast in the morning (you can enter the terrace from three out of four rooms only). Metro station (Ottaviano) is a bus ride (number 982) or at least 30 minute walk away.

The couple who run the B&B are great people! They were so very helpful. They helped us understand the Public Transit system in Rome and find places to eat and other shops in the area. Our room was clean along with the other living areas. Their English is not the best, but that should be expected since you are in in Rome. They do work hard though to make sure they understand what you are asking them and this made for a very pleasant visit.

We were at hotel in February 2010. The service was very good and location as well. The hotel is situated near the Vatican, but there is no tourists and there is very many small cafes with excellent kitchen where Italian people have a dinner and etc. People from the Hotel were very pleasant, help us to book the taxi, answered about all our questions and breakfast, including in the price was very nice.
All was perfect.

The bb is very nice. Bus station in front of the hotel. Vatican about 15 min walk. Carrefour Express and EuroSpin about 10 min walk. Good pizza across the Via Gregorio vii. The owners are very nice and friendly. Good italian breakfast (croissant, coffee, juice, butter, marmelade, bread, jogurt)
A bit far from Metro.

The wifi died at stage. Just like any other thing just had to reset the router.

Very nice b&b; with perfect locality - very close to Vatican and with easy access by public transportation to other places in Rome. Also the staff is very nice - friendly and helpful. If I come back to Rome I think I choose this b&b again.
